A recently released research paper emanating from the UK gathered data from a 7 year study of 65,000 people over the age of 35 and came up with some staggering yet common sense conclusions.
Whilst participants ate around 4 servings of fruit and vegetables a day for the trial period researchers concluded that by taking it to 7 servings a day, the outcomes are more favourable for a longer life.

Dried and fresh fruit and vegetables provide the best results whilst canned and frozen fruit actually increasing the potential for the risk of a faster death by 17 %. Fruit juice showed NO benefits at all.
The study results were released in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. Lead Researcher Dr Oyinlola Oyebode says ‘We all know that eating fruit and vegetables is healthy, but the size of the effect is staggering’.
Both Clare and I eat only fruit and vegetables each day – creating dishes which retain the experience of the sweet, sour, salty, savoury, creamy and crunchy eating experience.
If there’s resistance to eating fruit and vegetables then my best advice is to get your head checked for any mental instability – common sense must be allowed to prevail in your kitchen. Oh and we believe you can enjoy INCREASED levels of nutritional efficiency from your vegetables when they are not cooked. Vegetables lose as much as 70-90% of all nutrients when cooked over 115F or 42.5C.
